Locking of lid by 6 nuts with rubber gasket seal in between (no metal to metal seal). Two safety valves, pressure gauge, flexible metal tubing to exhaust air. Includes outer stand, inner aluminium container, inner tripod stand.
Features
› Equipped with two stages "over pressure" protection system incorporating a calibrated continuous bleeding Pressure stopcock and pressure release weight valve.
› Pressure Gauge : Colour coded pressure gauge showing internal chamber conditions during the cycle. Sterilization zone in green colour is shown from 15 psi to 20 psi (or 1.034 bar to 1.378 bar) which is equivalent to temperature of 121°c to 127°c. Dial size : 2.5". Dial show measurement in 2 units (i) kg/cm2 (ii) lb/inch2. Full scale dial of pressure gauge is 0-30 lb/ inch2 or 0-2 kg/cm2. Caution zone in red colour.
› Equipped with steam release /control valve and flexible metal exhaust tube. › For assurance of quality each autoclave is tested to the parameter of successful sterilization.
› Optional "TST" indicator stickers provide independent verification that the correct combination of temperature, steam & time has been achieved for successful sterilization.
› All aluminum deep drawn seamless construction of base unit.
› Heavy cast aluminum lid with six wing nut.
› Easy to use top loading autoclaves.
› Fast 20 min. sterilizing cycle at 121º C.

› Place the Autoclave and sterilizing material on the table or on the shelf.
› Remove the stopcock whistle/valve from the vent tube fitted at the lid.
› Twist the lid of the autoclave Anticlockwise and lift the lid.
› Fill water (appx. 1 liter) in the base chamber.
› Place the loaded Basket/Dressing Drum in the autoclave.
› Check that the rubber seal is in place and is in good condition.
› Put on the lid, press it down and turn it clockwise until it does not turn anymore.
› The sterilizer in the closed position will have both handles parallel and one above the other on either side of the stericlave.
› Put and press down the Stopcock whistle/valve on the vent tube on the lid and turn on the power.
› After few minutes steam will start generating and at 15±2 lb psi pressure the steam will come out strongly from the stopcock.
› Let the process go on and after 15minutes turn off the power and lift or pull out the Stopcock whistle/valve of the vent tube with forceps or piece of cloth.
› The whole steam will escape but it will be hot.
› Make sure that there is no steam left in the sterilizer and pressure gauge is also at Zero lb psi.
› Now open the autoclave lid by twisting it anticlockwise and lift the lid off the base chamber.
› Remove the rack/dressing drum from the autoclave and Preserve them in a safe place.
› Remove all the water from the base chamber and close the autoclave by putting the lid on it clockwise.
› Put the stopcock whistle/valve back on the vent tube for next sterilization.
HOW TO STOP LEAKAGE :
Replace the Gasket when
› It begins to show sign of leakage.
› When found visibly damaged.
› When shrinkage has occurred.
If a new gasket leaks or a persistent leaks develops
› Remove the gasket from the lid and clean the surface with some scrubbing pad 'Scotch brite' rinsed in warm soapy water.
› Also clean the surface of the base unit where gasket rests.
› Do not lubricate Gasket.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF AUTOCLAVE :
› Disconnect the Stericlave from the main power supply before cleaning.
› Ensure that no material falls into the base chamber i.e. autoclave tape, glass etc as they may affect the operation of the exhaust valves.
› Ensure that the pressure gauge is operating correctly.
› Heat the stericlave on a secure burner.
› Clean & dry the unit after the day use.
› Use Stericlave only for its intended purpose.
› Weekly clean both interior and exterior with warm, soapy water ensuring the electrical parts are kept dry.-(Incase of electric autoclave).
WARNING :
› Do not operate the stericlave without water. Avoid Using Hard Water in the unit.
› Make sure the rubber seal is in a good Shape & condition.
› Do not put any extra weight on the stopcock.
› Close the stericlave lid properly never try to open it by force without first releasing the steam.
› Do not use any alkaline solution in the unit.
› Clean and Dry the unit after a day uses.
